Labor Commissioner
Major Michael Mallinson
Major Mallinson served honorably in the United States Navy a an aircraft jet engine mechanic retiring after 20 years of service in 2003. He started his law enforcement career while he was serving a tour of duty as a Naval Recruiter at Navy Recruiting Station Shawnee, OK. He reserved for the Tecumseh Police Department from 1999 to 2003, receiving a CLEET reserve certification in January 2000 from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. From 2003-2009 he was the Chief of Security at the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center located in Tecumseh Oklahoma, supervising adjudicated youth in States custody. In July 2009, he took a full time position with the Tecumseh Police Department where he is currently assigned as the Assistant Chief of Police.
Major Mallinson is a certified CLEET instructor, hostage negotiator, taser instructor and Senior Field Training Officer.
David Bates
David Bates is the former Area Director of the Oklahoma OSHA Area Office. He began his career with OSHA in the Little Rock, Arkansas office in 1983 as a student co-op. He worked as a compliance officer in the Dallas and Fort Worth offices from 1985 to 1993. He has worked for OSHA as an Assistant Area Director in Bridgeport, Connecticut and Little Rock, Arkansas Area Offices from 1993 until 2008, and is now the Area Director of the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Area Office.
David has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Central Arkansas.
